Privacy Policy
Balanzo is a personal money tracker. This policy explains what data the app handles, where it goes, and the choices you have. In short: your data is yours. We don’t sell it, we don’t show ads, and we don’t track you.
Using Balanzo without an account
You can use Balanzo without signing in. In that case everything you enter — accounts, transactions, categories, budgets, notes, receipt photos and the activity log — is stored only on your device. It is not sent to us.
Using Balanzo with an account
If you choose to sign in, you do so with Sign in with Apple or Google. We receive:
- your email address (or an Apple private relay address if you choose to hide it), and
- an account identifier created for you.
We never receive your Apple or Google password.
While signed in, the data you enter in Balanzo is backed up and synced between your devices. This includes your accounts, balances, transactions, categories, labels, budgets, earnings, notes, receipt photos, the activity log and your app preferences. It is stored with Supabase, our cloud database provider, is encrypted in transit, and is protected so that only your signed-in account can read it.
Subscriptions and payments
Balanzo Pro is sold through the App Store. Apple processes all payments — we never see your card or bank details. We use RevenueCat to check whether your subscription is active. RevenueCat receives your purchase and subscription information from Apple and an app user identifier (linked to your Balanzo account if you are signed in). See RevenueCat’s privacy policy.
What stays on your device
- Face ID / Touch ID. If you turn on App Lock, unlocking is handled entirely by iOS. Balanzo never receives biometric data.
- Reminders. Daily and trial reminders are local notifications scheduled on your device.
- Camera. The camera is used only when you choose to photograph a receipt.
What we don’t do
- No advertising and no advertising identifiers.
- No third-party analytics or tracking.
- No selling, renting or sharing of your data with data brokers.
- No connection to your bank. Balanzo only knows what you type into it.
How long we keep data
We keep your synced data for as long as you have a Balanzo account. You can delete your account at any time in the app: More › your account › Delete account. This permanently deletes your account and all data stored with it on our servers, including receipt photos. Data stored only on your device is removed when you delete the app.
Your rights
You can access and export your data at any time (More › Import & export), correct it in the app, and delete it as described above. Depending on where you live, you may have further rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA. To exercise any of them, email us.
Children
Balanzo is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date at the top. Significant changes will also be announced in the app.
